I am a fully qualified, fun, successful and professional DBS-checked teacher.
I have taught in mainstream school (both private and state), and am now a self-employed tutor with over 16 years’ experience. I specialise in Maths, the Kent 11+ Test and selective Independent School entrance exams.
Individual lessons are delivered online via Zoom on a 1:1, 1:2 or small group basis.
I have a wealth of experience, and am passionate about what I do. I focus on helping children build their confidence, overcome any misunderstandings and to pass exams. I teach key concepts and specific topics, and provide a strong grounding in examination techniques and test preparation.
My driving aim is to help children feel better about themselves and gain confidence. By delivering lessons in an enjoyable manner, children quickly see that that learning can be enormous fun. They engage more quickly in this way; this accelerates their learning progress, and increases the chance of achieving their full potential.
Almost 100% of my pupils gain successful entry into their first choice of school, many with academic scholarships.

I also have a team of committed teachers working with me who assist with my 1:1 tuition. We all work towards the same goal - to achieve the very best for your child academically.
Additionally I run intensive Holiday Revision Courses, covering Maths, English, Reasoning (VR and NVR), Creative Writing, Comprehension and Interviews. These are held in April, August, October and December. These intensive holiday revision programmes are suitable for children aiming for both grammar and independents schools, and cover material in line with the 11 Plus, ISEB and selective school exams for this age group. They also provide invaluable preparation for Key Stage 2 SATS.

Entrance Exam Tutoring
I also tutor on a 1:1, 1:2 and group basis for Independent School entrance tests and selective grammar school exams, with written and oral test practice plus interview and exam techniques.
Schools include Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Judd, Walthamstow Hall, Caterham, Skinners and Tonbridge Girls Grammar.
Maths Tutoring
I aim to boost children’s confidence in Maths by teaching specific skills on a 1:1 basis in a fun manner that children can relate to. Skills are reinforced in a variety of ways, both computer and paper-based, and knowledge is tested and revised continuously. I aim to connect the topics in Maths, consolidating their knowledge and understanding and thus improving confidence in a subject many children do not necessarily enjoy at the outset.
